Urinary Incontinence
Condition Description
Stress urinary incontinence is a condition in which the bladder leaks a few drops of urine during light exertion such as jumping, sneezing, or even coughing.
40% of women suffer from it. Often considered in society as an unavoidable effect of aging, gynecologists agree that this condition can have a negative effect on the quality of life of affected women.
Just as with our skin, the passing of years leads to a certain relaxation of the muscles supporting the pelvic floor, as well as the sphincter of the urethra, the bladder's outlet channel. It becomes less efficient and is no longer as tight.
During an effort, the pressure exerted in the lower abdomen is sufficient for a little urine to escape involuntarily.
How to Treat
The treatments offered at the Figurra Institute consist of the use of new state-of-the-art laser technologies.
Our gynecologist uses the energy of a very specific laser to stimulate the production of healthy and firm collagen fibres to restore the firmness of the vaginal walls and the urethral wall.
These fibres are responsible for the structure and strength of the internal tissues. By stimulating their growth, the pelvic floor wall thickens and tightens, allowing the urethra to do its job properly.
The gynecological laser is used in the same way as a gynecological examination. A speculum is inserted into the vagina to facilitate the insertion of the instrument on which the laser is located.
The treatment is painless and safe.
