It can manifest as simple vascular rosacea or progress to acne rosacea with a more inflammatory component.
Symptoms tend to become more apparent over time. It may start as simple "flushing", become inflammatory (acneiform), and then become chronic as in rhinophyma, conjunctivitis or blepharitis. Rosacea is a condition that is often progressive.
How to Treat
Rosacea is chronic, but it can be controlled. Certain treatments can reduce the symptoms as well as the severity of the condition. A combination of in-house and home treatment is preferred.
Several factors can contribute to exacerbate the symptoms, including heat and cold, spicy and vinegary foods, hot drinks, alcoholic drinks such as red wine, etc.
Reducing sun exposure and adopting a healthy diet can also help reduce symptoms.
Various treatments can help reduce and control symptoms. As each case is different, our health professionals will evaluate your condition and propose a personalized treatment plan.
