The injection of deoxycholic acid promotes the elimination of fat cells. This acid is a bile acid (bile viscus, liver) naturally present in the body. The fat cells are broken down by the deoxycholic acid and absorbed by the body.
With each treatment, the appearance of the profile improves.

Things to know about this treatment
A session takes between 15 and 30 minutes. From 2 to 6 sessions are necessary. They are done at intervals of 6 to 8 weeks.
The treatment consists of injections. Slight discomfort and a sensation of heat may be felt during the treatment.
Taking acetaminophen (TylenolTM) beforehand can help ease the discomfort.
It is possible to experience mild tenderness, temporary redness or bruising, and swelling in the week following the session.
