Seborrheic Keratosis
Condition Description
Seborrheic Keratosis (KS) is a skin lesion that can resemble a wart but is genetic rather than viral in origin. In genetically predisposed people, they appear and multiply as the years go by.
Some keratoses are quite thin or stuck to the skin and come in various shapes and sizes. Some lesions have a rough wart-like surface, while others are smoother with small white or black dots. They vary in color from light brown to blackish and can be itchy, especially if rubbed against clothing.
KS most often appears on the back, chest, and belly, but it can be present all over the body.
It is recommended that a doctor be consulted for a diagnosis.
How to Treat
Seborrheic keratosis must be removed if you want to get rid of it.
