Eyelids
Condition Description
The skin around the eyes is particularly thin and delicate. It is therefore sensitive to factors that accentuate natural or premature aging.
Drooping eyelids weigh down the eyes and can make you look severe or age unnecessarily.
Another eyelid problem is cholesterol deposits called xanthelasma. They manifest as an accumulation of yellow bumps or thickening that appears under or around the skin of the eyelids.
It is also possible to develop syringomas, small benign, rounded, whitish, or skin-colored lesions.
How to Treat
Depending on whether the upper or lower eyelids are treated, the procedures are different.
Droopy upper eyelids can be treated by surgery performed at the Institute under local anesthesia. This process is safe and provides permanent results.
Cholesterol deposits, xanthelasma, growths, and small bumps must also be removed.
