Treatment Description
One of the most popular surgical procedures is labiaplasty (nymphoplasty). It consists of reducing the labia minora or making them symmetrical.
Excessively large labia minora can cause discomfort during physical activity, when wearing tight-fitting clothing or during sexual intercourse.
The aesthetics of the vulva can also be a problem for some patients.
Vulvovaginal surgeries are performed under local anesthesia.
Things to know about this treatment
A treatment takes between 20 and 30 minutes and is done often in one session.
A local anesthetic is used, so there is little pain during the procedure.
Bleeding may occur for the first few days following the procedure. Swelling and discomfort last on average 7 to 14 days.
