Condition Description

Surgery to change the appearance of the labia majora and minora is called labiaplasty.

Some women have this surgery because the structure of their labia majora or minora causes them discomfort during sexual relations or while doing certain activities, such as cycling, for example.

Wearing tight-fitting clothing can also be made uncomfortable by long labia minora.

Many women are also uncomfortable or dissatisfied with the anatomy of their private parts and want to correct the situation.

How to Treat

To change the anatomy of the labia minora, our gynecologist will perform surgery under local anesthesia in our plastic surgery suite.

The parts of the vulva that are changed during the operation are not related to the sensitivity of the vulva, so there is no risk of losing sensation afterwards.

However, you should expect some postoperative sensitivity for 7 to 10 days.
