Dr. Martin LeBlanc
Dr. Martin LeBlanc completed a post-doctoral specialization in dermatology at Laval University in Quebec City in 2017 and then continued his studies with a Fellowship in Mohs surgery to treat skin cancers, which he completed in the spring of 2018.
Originally from Moncton, he chose to return to his hometown with his wife and children to begin his practice.
Mohs surgery is a meticulous and innovative procedure that removes skin cancers while preserving the surrounding healthy skin tissue. This procedure is a medical approach that offers the best cure rates, compared to the standard method of removing an extra diameter of skin around the lesion, which can sometimes leave bad scars.
This meticulous, safe, and respectful surgical approach describes Dr. LeBlanc's personality very well. His work is characterized by great attention to detail, a concern for minimal scarring, and a beautiful residual aesthetic appearance. Cancer patients suffer enough from the various challenges and stresses associated with this diagnosis without having to carry residual scars that can sometimes affect their self-esteem.
“The appearance and perception of our skin affects our self-esteem and quality of life. We don't need to let scars or the effects of time diminish our enjoyment of life and our energy. We want to help our patients enjoy life to the fullest.”
